Auckland City, New Zealand Medcall Full time

If, like me, you're annoyed by people using apostrophe's incorrectly (yes, deliberate)
- If you get wound up by incorrect spelling in a formil document....(yes, I know)
- If you feel totally frustrated when issues could have been avoided **_if only people had done things PROPERLY...._**

If you feel
- things would be better with **YOU** ensuring quality standards were met,
- that our frail elderly deserve the gold standard in clinical care,
- that aged care facilities need YOU to tidy things up, teach and mentor, sharing your vast knowledge and understanding of what is required, **_then you just might be the person we need_**

Medcall is working with our client, a well-respected provider of residential aged care facilities around NZ, to find the very best person for this role

Working closely with the GM of Clinical & Quality, you will be relied on to:

- Oversee quality standards across the organisation
- Create and manage a Quality Assurance programme
- Prepare sites for certification and internal audits
- Run Facility Health Checks
- Benchmark clinical care, analyse & compile reporting
- Survey staff and residents to assess satisfaction
- Manage complaints process, investigations and quality improvements
- Drive a culture of ongoing clinical and operational improvement.

Working from the Auckland office in Newmarket, you will often be on-site at one of the facilities (North & South Islands), providing input, support and guidance to the Care Home Managers and clinical teams there, ensuring their processes and sites align with compliance standards.

**You will need**:

- **Several years' experience in a clinical leadership role in NZ's aged care sector**:

- (Ideally) Understanding of Sector Guidance for Nga Parewa HDSS NZS 8134 : 2021 and Residential Aged Care Contract, and the Designated Agency Audit Handbook (MOH NZ)
- NZ Nursing registration and current APC
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft, Excel) and experience using various IT platforms
- Full, clean NZ driver's licence
- An eye for detail, precision, and to constantly be looking for ways to initiate improvements
- Incredible interpersonal skills & the ability to bring people along with you for the ride
- Empathy, understanding and compassion
- Professionalism and the ability to work with a wide range of personnel
- Ability to juggle a busy workload, prioritising and meeting deadlines
- The ability to travel nationally, visiting Care Homes within the group
- To be happy working autonomously, whilst maintaining close contact with the GM of Clinical & Quality
- and a great sense of humour wouldn't go amiss either

Join an organisation that is well established, with many years' experience, as they continue to grow and expand.

You will be valued and appreciated, working closely with the management team.

This is a full time role, Monday to Friday.

These ones don't come along every day. Don't miss this one
