Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our New Zealand Building’s team includes engineers in the primary disciplines of Building Services, Building Sciences, Sustainability, Structural and Façade engineering. The team delivers projects regionally and contributes to the Group’s growth in the ANZ region. We are a truly collaborative organisation with strong connections across the globe.
With an increasing and diverse portfolio of work across New Zealand, that ranges from premium-office, to high end residential, transportation hubs and community facilities, we are currently looking to expand in in the major centres of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and are seeking a Principal or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team of industry leading professionals.

- To be successful in this role you will have:
7 - 15 years building services engineering or sustainability work experience

Experience leading design teams

Experience in delivering projects within the built environment sector.

A passion for sustainability and high performance-built environments

A drive to proactively seek to enhance your personal and professional development

Excellent communication skills

Good organisational skills and the ability to communicate/liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, clients and contractors

Time management skills, setting priorities, planning and organising

A working knowledge of energy, daylight and computational fluid dynamics software

The ability to be a team player and develop relationships at all levels

Self-motivation and a positive and friendly attitude

An innovative and courageous attitude with a hands-on approach to solving problems.

A Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Building Sciences

Chartered or Professional Engineer Status or close to obtaining.
