Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete Ltd is a well-established locally owned family business which has been operating in Canterbury for over 50 years. The company is made up of four divisions which are concrete, aggregates, civil contracting and a workshop delivering mechanical and engineering services.

You will be working in a team of two, to maximise the efficiency of the production process. You will also provide assistance to our Mobile Supervisor to keep the plant running and deal with production issues as they arise. The plant is mobile so you will be working on several different sites in Canterbury.

Key responsibilities for this position will be:

- Operate the mobile crushing and screening plant
- Assist with screen changes
- Loader operation
- Undertake and record daily plant prestart checks
- Assist with maintenance as required
- Ensure products meet specifications

Ideally you will:

- Have a Class 2 licence and WTR endorsement
- Be mechanically minded
- Be physical fit
- Be keen to learn all aspects of quarrying
