**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have a **Senior Dietitian** opportunity available for experienced **New Zealand Registered Dietitian** to join our dynamic and supportive Surgical team within the **Nutrition and Dietetics Service** based at **Auckland City Hospital**. This role is part of the inpatient Dietitian team and would see you working **permanent, full-time** **(40 hours /week) Monday to Friday, with roster weekends. This role will primarily be based across our surgical and critical care units where you will be:

- Work across the critical care and surgical teams
- involved in reviewing and evolving the models of care within our services
- supported to enhance your skills and knowledge in the comprehensive management of complex inpatients
- supported to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives
- working in partnership with an individual and their whānau to provide client / family / whānau centered care
- Optimize patient experience by utilizing your excellent clinical and interpersonal communication skills
- collaborating with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectives.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

- New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Expertise in parenteral nutrition - including customised and standard bags
- 6+ years post-graduate clinical experience preferably working within a clinical dietetic setting
- Full, clean NZ Drivers’ License
- Be a great connector of people and ideas
- An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
- Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
