**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have a secondment opportunity available for an experienced **New Zealand Registered Dietitian** interested in stepping into an **Advanced Clinician or Senior Renal Dietitian role.** **This role is part of the inpatient Dietitian team and would see you working **permanent, part-time** **(28 hours /week) Monday to Friday, with the option of roster weekends. This is an opportunity to join our dynamic and supportive **Renal team** within the **Nutrition and Dietetics Service** based at **Auckland City Hospital**. This role will see you working closely with the Renal Service providing nutrition care for patients with chronic kidney disease including pre-dialysis, dialysis, renal transplant and kidney stone prevention in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

The role is ideal for a dietitian with excellent communication, organisation skills and ability to work independently as part of a dynamic team.
- Provide advanced clinical practice and implement evidence-based standards of practice
- Lead the development of local pathways, protocols and guidelines
- Provide clinical teaching and support to all relevant stakeholders including patients/clients, family whanau, staff and students, and other health professionals.
- Evaluate service requirements and implement clinical research and audits
- Provide advanced clinical resource both locally and regionally

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

- New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Full, clean NZ Drivers’ License
- Be a great connector of people and ideas
- An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
- Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
