About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen with two permanent roles available in the ICTSC Business Relationship function which is part of the Business Enablement Group.
The Business Enablement Group's main functions include developing a portfolio of Technology initiatives that meet business needs, identifying opportunities from partners and other agencies that can be applied to Police, aligning operational priorities, business relationship management, integrated planning of financial and human resources, and management of key Police ICT enabled Programmes and projects.

As the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) you’ll work closely across Polices operational business to:

- Partner with and be the key point of contact for Police operational units who want to engage with ICT to enable improvements to their business, helping to define business problems and high-level requirements ultimately delivering the Police outcomes under “Our Business”.
- Act as the ‘front door’ into ICT for initiating technology enabled initiatives, matching requirements to existing technology solutions or investigating innovative new concepts, making it easy for all areas of Police to collaborate with ICT to deliver effective technology solutions that meet business needs in a complex and rapidly changing ICT and business environment.
- Engage with all Police Executive areas to build relationships and ensure their understanding of business processes, roadmaps and drivers.
- Bring together a holistic view of Police business and ICT strategies to leverage ideas, identify efficiencies and maximise the benefits of ICT solutions.
- Foster business confidence and provide the role of ‘trusted advisor’ during the pipeline and concept stages of projects, retaining some oversight to the delivery of projects once they are underway.
- Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to keep abreast of developments in other industries and ensure Police future requirements are proactively considered.
- Work collaboratively with peers from other government agencies to share and leverage ideas and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- ERP (Finance /HR / Payroll), Workforce Management and/or Training and Development systems
- An appreciation of IT Systems.
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Excellent writing skills able to develop and work with the business groups to develop Investment Proposals, Business Cases and Strategic Plans.

- A customer first service focus and an enthusiasm for this interesting and challenging role.

This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is “to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business”.
