The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Environmental Health, Border and Compliance team as the **Manager -Compliance and Enforcement. **This role is critical in enabling the delivery of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).
The Manager, Compliance role will support the development planning and delivery of tobacco, vaping, and alcohol compliance activity and will lead a team providing advice, support and knowledge to the National Public Health Service across this specialist area. Maintaining and developing key relationships will be critical in this Managerial role.

- Have extensive specialised experience normally gained through professional qualifications and significant post graduate experience
- You can demonstrate advanced knowledge of the health system, risk management, and compliance delivery
- Experience in developing and implementing activities for improving public health and health protection
- Can demonstrate knowledge and experience of public health legislation, regulations and standards in New Zealand in this specialist area
