Auckland Transport is shaping Auckland with infrastructure projects in design, construction and delivery phases across Auckland, making sure you have transport choices to move you around our city.

Our Funding & Analysis team is responsible for analysing the costs and benefits of these projects as well as sourcing funding for each project to ensure that we deliver for Auckland. We are on the hunt for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team
- Contributing to development of business cases, particularly financial, economic and commercial cases
- Peer reviewing business cases prepared by external consultants
- Liaising with other AT staff, the New Zealand Transport Agency and external consultants on economic assessment and modelling of AT's projects
- Assisting with long-term financial modelling and forecasting to input to AT's Annual Plan, Council's Long-term Plan, the Regional Land Transport Plan and the Auckland Transport Alignment Project
- Working on initiatives to optimise funding sources, or financing options

You will need to have the perfect blend of technical skills and communication skills as you present economic and financial information to non-financial audiences. Ideally, you will have a background in economics, finance, business advisory, policy analysis or business case development. You will also have:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics or related discipline
- The ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
- Excellent inter-personal skills and proven ability to work with people from a range of professional backgrounds
- Experience writing reports and business cases
- Great time management
