The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) is currently recruiting for Community Security Advisors. We are looking for talented and curious Intelligence professionals with a range of life experiences and backgrounds to work within the diverse and exciting areas of our organisation.
This is a unique opportunity where you will represent NZSIS with external stakeholders on a daily basis, your can-do approach and adaptability will set you up for success interacting with members of the public, other government departments, academia and industry on a range of national security matters impacting New Zealand communities.

**To be effective in this role, you will have**:

- Knowledge of New Zealand's foreign policy and geo-strategic issues and national security matters impacting on NZ communities
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills that inspires trust, and confidence in a range of forums
- Experience building and maintaining long-term productive working relationships
- A full clean NZ Driver's licence
- Flexibility to travel domestically sometimes at short notice

You will operate with a significant degree of autonomy as you respond to stakeholder enquiries and needs. You will usually engage on a one on one basis but your ability to communicate effectively with larger groups will come in handy. Having cultural awareness and self-drive will ensure you see tangible results from your work to ensure that New Zealand remains a safe place for our diverse communities.
