**The role**

Our Integrated Networks division has a new opportunity for an experienced leader to be responsible for providing strategic leadership (stewardship) of Auckland Transport's $3B portfolio of roading stormwater and environmental assets. The portfolio includes the road networks rain gardens, catch-pits, stormwater treatment technologies and around 14,000km of pipes, curbs and channels.

This role is critical to ensuring the required service levels are delivered by the AT Green Assets Portfolio to the public transport service operators and customers, today and into the future.

A key requirement of the role is to develop, maintain and assess the performance of the green asset management plans, including the effectiveness of services contracts, service level performance analysis, future state analysis and investment programme outcomes (i.e. scheduled maintenance, renewals and upgrades).

**_ To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:_**
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in transport, sustainable urban design, stormwater or green infrastructure management.
- 10 years senior asset management experience
- Extensive understanding of local government and environmental statutory / regulatory environments.
- Experience in the development and alignment of technical/specialist business or asset management practices with corporate and business strategies/plans
- Exposure to infrastructure risk management practices
- Experienced in the preparation, management and performance assessment of contracts
- Commercial acumen with ability to analyse and compare financial, economic benefits of investments
- Track record of enabling collaborative outcomes through working across functional areas

You will be a proficient communicator with first-class communication and relationship building skills, able to easily engage and establish effective working relationships across the business units and external partners.
