**Technical Director, Transmission Line Engineering (Te Whanganui-a-tara)**
- Technical design leadership role, working with a peer group of Technical Directors, who together lead the delivery of highly specialised and complex transmission designs in Australia and New Zealand
- Lead the delivery of critical power related infrastructure projects, that enable the decarbonisation and electrification of the energy supply chain, across complex, varied and challenging projects
- Be part of a specialist team, who work collaboratively to lead the technical delivery and project outcomes, while also developing and coaching the next generation of Beca Power engineers for the industry

While being based in Wanganui-a-Tara | Wellington, you will be part of a highly diverse and supportive team, with global and multidisciplinary experience. This role will enable you to play a specialist and leadership role in decarbonisation and the electrification of the energy supply chain, through the delivery of large scale, complex, and varied transmission line related projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. Each transmission and related Power infrastructure project will have unique design requirements, topography, scale, and client types. Together, you will be working in a team and business line, that is passionate about reshaping the power and energy networks throughout Australasia, as well as the impact that has on the communities that Beca works with.

**Mōu ake | About you**

Our Technical Directors come from a range of engineering backgrounds, united by their passion to make a real-world difference through their technical leadership, engineering, design, and project delivery skills and experiences. Joining this team will allow you to utilise your expertise and engineering abilities with like-minded peers, delivering complex electrical, transmission and distribution design solutions. You will be driven to make a long-term difference, supporting decarbonisation and electrification strategies across the power supply chain.

To be successful in this role, you will have specialist engineering, technical and delivery experience with a focus on transmission line, distribution and related projects. This experience could be from a range of roles, such as working in a consulting environment on Transmission Line projects, for an asset owner in the transmission sector.

How you work is important to Beca. Having the ability to manage multiple projects, be client and outcome focused, commercially minded, operate in times of ambiguity, coach and develop others with a collaborative personal approach, will be important. You will also be a relationship builder, able to work with other engineers collaboratively on projects, as well as with our clients. You will enjoy ‘picking up the phone’ as an approach to connect with clients, especially to problem solve on project site-specific design issues. You will also be passionate about learning from others, ready to listen, engage, support, and positively query situations with a focus on great project outcomes.
