Digital forensics plays a vital role in supporting investigations by providing critical evidence and insights through the analysis of digital devices.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to shape the future landscape in NZ Police Digital Forensics. You will engage legal, technical, and other law enforcement experts, thrive on daily unique challenges, and be motivated to get the best outcomes for our communities through the support your unit will provide to investigations.

In this role you will be an integral member of NZ Police's High Tech Crime Group, and support decision making nationally to enable the collection and analysis of digital evidence.

The Northern Digital Forensics Unit comprises of two digital forensics teams in a shared space offering a unique opportunity to engage your team and others and leave you mark on how the unit collectively operates.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead processes, methodologies and trade craft relating to digital forensics or a similarly relevant field.
- People leadership skills are critical, prior experience leading specialists is desirable.
- Ability to influence nationally, build relationships throughout multiple policing districts.
- Prioritisation skills in a high pressure and every changing environment.
- Experience developing technical staff and leading high performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, and a drive for outstanding customer service.

**Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements**
- Computer forensic qualifications or relevant comparable experience within a related field.
- Ability to gain and hold a Top Secret security clearance.
- NZ Citizen or resident having lived in NZ for at least 10 years (required for security clearance).
- Clean and current full driver's license.
- Requirement to pass certifications depending on previous experience and qualification.
