At Te Tari Taake Inland Revenue, we have undergone significant business transformation and are now at an exciting phase of our organisational development. Particularly for our people strategy, we are embedding people practices that will be enduring and responsive to our nation's current and future priorities.
The People Strategy and Capability team is critical to introducing these practices using human-centred approaches that connect through all phases of the employee lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly integrated team and provide thought leadership across the broad spectrum of our workplace and workforce.
**The current priorities for the team include**:
- embedding the practices that enable IR to attract, develop and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve
- building understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and te ao Māori into our people practices to support organisational capability uplift
- supporting the development of exceptional leaders and team members.
Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The opportunity
The People Strategy and Capability team of IR have permanent opportunity for an experienced Organisational Development professional to join the team.
**To be successful in this role you will bring**:
- experience of leading organisational development initiatives in a diverse organisation
- appreciation of what is required to embed, in an enduring way, people practices that affirm te ao Māori and sponsor cultural competency
- the ability to form simple frameworks that illustrate the connection of distinct and separate IR strategies and priorities
- proven strategic thinking ability, a natural curiosity and critical analysis
- expert coaching, influencing and facilitation skills
- strong written and oral communication skills
- the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels, internally and externally
- experience working with executive level leadership teams
- the ability to plan, negotiate and manage priorities.
