This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $109,980 to $155,266 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced senior modeller to provide technical direction and expertise across the organisation in relation to the development of strategic and operational wastewater models.

**You will**:

- develop, maintain and operate wastewater hydraulic models
- support the growth agenda with respect to water infrastructure, planning and network performance
- develop strategies and policies for urban development and Civil Engineering Practice
- contribute to the development of operations and capital expenditure proposals
- develop and mentor less experienced colleagues.

About you

**To be successful in this role you will bring**:

- a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as engineering or science)
- experience in hydraulic and/or hydrology modelling in wastewater, ideally using InfoWorks ICM
- a background in the design of drainage and water infrastructure solutions
- experience in assessing land development proposals
- expertise in GIS.

Wellington Water is the Wellington region's professional water services provider. We are 100 per cent council owned and funded by Wellington City, Hutt City, Porirua City, and Upper Hutt City councils, Greater Wellington Regional Council and South Wairarapa District Council. 
Our councils own the water infrastructure in the region, and they task us to manage the infrastructure and deliver water services to their communities. 
Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. We do this on behalf of our council owners.
