Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time permanent registered clinical psychologist within the Community Alcohol and other Drugs Service (CADS). In this role, you will work within a dynamic MDT and be responsible for completing psychological assessments, therapy and supporting a recovery-based journey through the service for tāngata whaiora and their whanau.

Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
The CADS Teams work with adult tangata whaiora presenting with moderate to severe and complex substance dependency. We aim to do this is in a culture of caring - for each other: ourselves, tangata whaiora, their whānau and communities, and our sector partners. Our CADS team works collaboratively with our Te Whatu Ora, Waikato colleagues and across the Rohe to achieve results for our Tāngata whaiora, while continuously learning and developing our own skills.

Are you a registered psychologist working in the alcohol and other drug sector or interested in working in this field, or looking for a new challenge? We offer specific alcohol & other drug training and mentoring for the right person to gain the skills needed in this speciality area.
The successful applicant will need good psychological skills and knowledge alongside the ability to work within teams and systems. We are looking for someone who can provide a range of interventions both on a one-to-one and group basis from a trauma-informed practice. Someone who is who is up to date with current best practice in psychology. You will also need to be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. We offer regular fortnight supervision, monthly psychologist meetings with the wider Mental Health and Addiction service, paid registration and a competitive salary.
