**Description**:
About the Role
LABTEC is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our team in Auckland and provide technical and scientific support for a diverse range of testing capabilities and R&D work.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality control - adhere to all quality control requirements
- Continuous improvement - plan and perform method development and validation for new methods and products
- Preparation and analysis - prepare samples for analysis using appropriate analytical techniques such as HPLC, LCMS, MP-AES, GC-FID or XRF
- Client services - approve results and finalise client reports ensuring high quality results, accurate information and deadlines are met
- All documentation is completed accurately
- Monitor instrument performance and maintenance
- Actively engage with Workplace Health, Safety & Environment procedures

**Skills and Experiences**:
About You
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in an ISO or GMP laboratory
- Experience with wet chemical analysis
- Hands on experience with Instrumental techniques such as HPLC, GC, MP-AES, XRF
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to meet tight deadlines & work under pressure
- Be reliable & self-motivated
- Be a team player
- Understanding of ISO 17025 and IANZ criteria
- Passion for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of chemical safety
- Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine/Agricultural Chemicals sector
