**Title: Travel Consultant**

Location: Auckland

Employment type: Permanent

Hours per week: Minimum of 30 hours, Maximum of 50 hours

Hourly rate: $29.66-$32.00

1. Based on customer needs, communicate and understand their travel requirements, including destination, transportation, accommodation conditions, and special interests

2. Answer various questions from customers about tourism destinations and itineraries, and provide them with advice on tourism, travel routes, accommodation, and local customs

3. Discuss the availability and cost of transportation with customers, and provide personalized travel plans based on customer needs, available travel routes, transportation costs, and convenience

4. Based on the tourism plan determined by the customer, book transportation, accommodation, scenic spot tickets, etc. for the customer, and provide specific transportation arrangements to the customer, including the connection methods of transportation such as airplanes, trains, buses, etc.

5. Collect fees and provide customers with detailed itinerary arrangements, travel tickets, accommodation arrangements, and other vouchers

6. Notify overseas travel clients of visa and medical requirements in their destination country, and assist clients in obtaining visa and travel permits

7. Provide detailed information on tourist attractions and tour groups, as well as remind customers of travel dates, flight luggage restrictions, and other requirements

8. Provide relevant information on travel insurance, customs regulations, and credit card payment methods

9. Assist clients in handling lost or stolen documents, luggage, etc. during their travels

10. Manage and execute short-term study tours from scratch, including, creating, selling and delivering tailormade itineraries to Chinese students; visiting schools and stakeholders to develop new products.

11. This new line of business also includes roadshows online or offline in China; following up all enquiries from parents and students; and developing good relationships with stakeholders in China and New Zealand

**Job Requirements**:
At least three years of experience in tourism or business may substitute for the qualification

Capable of building genuine long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders

Fluent in English and Chinese. Any additional language would be a plus
