**About the team**:
Working in a dedicated team with a focus on supporting our new Banking Solutions strategy in New Zealand. You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

**What you will be doing**:
Based in Christchurch and working with a global team you will be focused on ensuring our products meet regulatory compliance guidelines in New Zealand. You will be required to risk assess the product and identify key requirements that stem from regulations. You will also:

- Provide compliance reviews and direction for new and expanding products and services
- Develop, modify and execute company policies that affect immediate operations
- Monitor and communicate regulatory changes that impact FIS products, services and business activities.
- Assist the business with responses to customer compliance-specific questions and concerns.
- Interface with legal counsel and federal, state, and local agencies, as needed to address regulatory or compliance issues, concerns or questions.

- Provide updates for periodic reports.
- Monitor line of business compliance activities to verify that regulatory compliance deadlines and requirements are met.
- Conduct compliance assessments and provides direction on any deficiencies detected by those assessments.

**What you will need**:

- Ideally 7-8 years’ experience in the banking industry in a generalist Compliance role
- Comprehensive knowledge of various substantive area of compliance such as banking regulations, AML or anti-corruption
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business or a related field
- Sound experience working with technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A strong communicator who can convey both written and verbal ideas in a clear concise and professional manner
- Ability to follow and conduct a compliance monitoring programme
- Ability to creative problem solving techniques and tools to compliance issues
