We have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Planning and Purchasing Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.

The Materials Planning and Purchasing function bridges the gap between Planning and Manufacturing, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring an uninterrupted and efficient supply of materials to meet SMLs Production Plan. This role will provide leadership and guidance to this team and will be responsible for reporting of key metrics to the business.

The main responsibilities of this role include..
- Provideleadership to purchasing and materials planning team
- Ensure the training and support materials are current including online content
- Ensure we are operating within the Procurement and Inventory policies and Procedures
- Oversee SAP/Ariba Vendor onboarding processes
- Oversee Vendor and Material Master Data management
- Oversee Materials Planning/Purchasing activity
- Provide key management reports and ensure relevant system house keeping tasks are completed

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualification desirable - preferably in Supply Chain Management
- Membership of a recognised Procurement/Supply Chain industry body desirable (eg. CIPS)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar leadership role preferable
- Purchasing experience with demonstrable successes in achieving targets / best practice benchmarks
- Advanced ERP (Preferably SAP) purchasing module experience
- Experience in dairy industry or food manufacturing preferred
- Warehousing and Logistics experience beneficial
- Proven Leadership experience in Purchasing/ Planning/ Scheduling role
