**Mo tenei turanga - about the role**

This position provides expertise to enable highly available systems, and facilitates efficient and effective ICT systems on-premises and in Azure. You will work with contractors to migrate systems to Azure to align with cloud first strategy and ensure our systems are optimised and fit for purpose. You will also be responsible for maintaining Cloud Governance and Cloud Security.

Take ownership of this cloud based Senior Infrastructure Engineer position using your varied skillset, and your proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders both within and outside the organisation. You will bring significant experience in Cloud Technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, and an excellent understanding of the operational requirements of a complex, multi-vendor, multi-faceted production environment.

**To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have**:

- Proven experience in a senior position working on Cloud systems or platform engineering
- Strong understanding of Azure Cloud design, maintenance, optimisation, automation and governance
- Extensive problem-solving skills in a complex IT environment
- Good knowledge of the relevant key technologies including Infrastructure as Code, Bicep and Terraform
- The ability to break down complex information into plain English for a wide audienceSignificant experience in designing, deploying, managing, configuring, and optimising Azure cloud services and components.
