**Starting salary**: $114,614 - $153,654 negotiable + superannuation

Te tūnga | The role
As Principal Advisor - Communications you will be part of a customer-centric team providing strategic and operational communications and engagement advice across the organisation. The team delivers general communications and engagement services through a portfolio-based approach with each group, providing dedicated advisory support.
This reports to the Director Marketing, Communications and Engagement and is the go-to expert providing support and advice to the Chief Executive and Government Statistician and senior leaders of Stats NZ.
This is a busy role for seasoned communications professional who is comfortable leading high-profile pieces of work as well as influencing and challenging senior leaders. You will take a proactive and innovative approach to the role and will be a key part on the team's leadership group.
You will drive a collaborative environment while mentoring and providing guidance to other members of the team.
