We have a rare management opportunity in our dynamic Deli Team for a 2IC to join our long-standing Manager in a full-time permanent capacity. **You and the Job**
- Provide exceptional leadership of our deli team, always being above the line and willing to get stuck in
- Always thinking customer and ensuring that the level of service not only yourself but the team provides is second to none
- In it together - whether assisting the Deli Manager with administration or supporting and the guiding the team through day-to-day operations you exude the spirit of collaboration
- Adept at coaching conversations that help drive performance and team spirit
- Ability to multi-task, work with people from all walks of life, trouble-shoot, and remain unflappable under pressure
- Be a people person, that brings both energy and calm to situations
- An understanding of foundational HR practices related to team management - including the maintenance of confidential information, performance and attendance management, training and development
- Experience in rostering and it’s impacts on wage budgets
- A result orientated person - you are pragmatic, detail oriented and always stiving to achieve excellence
- You understand the value of team and can recognize that you are successful when the team are successful
- Physically fit - the role requires you to be constantly on your feet, maintaining the workflow of the deli area and assisting both team and customers including jumping in to serve as and when required
- Understanding of regulatory practices - health and safety and food safety are imperative to the success of this department
- Welcome growth, challenge, and change - our Deli Manager has a vision for her department, challenging the status quo by giving opportunities that support her team’s development and our customers shopping experience

**Days and Hours**:
Whilst we have yet to set the specifics of this as we will adjust for the right person, it is critical that you are both flexible and reliable in your roster. You will be required to work 1 day in the weekend and be comfortable to cover opening and closing shifts as needed - we lead by example, and this means being seen by the whole team.
