A role with lots of scope, variety, and opportunity to get into the thick of the organisation, we’re seeking a multi-talented Corporate Affairs Manager to join us - this role blends the best of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, navigating complexities of a large business to deliver impactful communications and outcomes.
Job Description
Reporting to our GM - Corporate Affairs, as Corporate Affairs Manager, you’ll be someone who can turn their hand to internal and external storytelling and engagement. This is a broad-ranging and high impact role which involves working effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including TWG senior leadership and external relationships - to help shape our brand story, reputation and support key business outcomes. We are open to this role being full time or part time - 32 - 40 hours a week.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and deliver core TWG communication initiatives that align with business goals and values
- Navigate and act as trusted communications advisor to key and senior stakeholders on complex issues
- Manage reactive and proactive media enquiries across all brands
- Business partnering, building strategic communication plans and media relations across financial reporting, sustainability, products, and announcements.
- Internal communications support for leaders
- Champion for values, diversity and inclusion, culture and engagement through storytelling and communication efforts
Qualifications
You’ll have a proven experience in corporate affairs roles, ideally a mix of external and internal communications background. Your strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen and ability to calmly navigate complexities and sensitivities will be exceptional, and you’ll have a track record of making a difference where you work. Your proven ability to build trusted relationships and confidence representing the business engaging with key media and community partners combined with your excellent written and verbal communications skills across diverse audiences will all be key indicators of your success.
Enthusiasm, curiosity and a collaborative mindset is a must. Experience or knowledge of Te Reo Māori and Māori development is highly desirable.
