The Clinical Lead will provide both operational management and clinical leadership to the Social Work Service (Adults inpatient and Women’s Health teams) within the Allied Health Service. You will work closely with, and provide leadership to, the Social Work Practice Supervisors who oversee the day to day workings of the teams. Reporting to the Service Clinical Director, Allied Health Services, this is a highly collaborative role well supported by the Director, other profession-specific Clinical Leads, and professionally, by the Professional Leader Social Work. You will be a valued member of the Allied Health Leadership Team and encouraged and supported to develop your potential, including your leadership and management skills in and beyond Social Work.

The preference will be to appoint this role as a permanent, full time position. However, consideration will be given for exceptional applicants seeking part time work at 0.8 FTE.

Auckland DHB employs over 10,000 highly skilled clinical and non-clinical professionals. In addition to providing hospital and health services to the Auckland central district, we also provide other DHBs across NZ and the Pacific region with primarily complex tertiary and quaternary services.
Our Adult Allied Health Service is a cluster of 5 different professional service areas - Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Language Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics and Social Work services, employing over 200 staff and we strive to be a hub of innovation and service excellence. **About you**
- The ability to live and lead the Auckland DHB values of Haere Mai, Manaaki,Tuhono and Angamua.
- A comprehensive understanding of the obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and a commitment to supporting equitable outcomes for Māori.
- Experience in a management and/or people leader role, ideally within a healthcare setting
- Be registered with the Social Workers Registration Board of New Zealand and have a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A commitment to achieving excellent clinical and business outcomes based on quality service delivery and outstanding and empathetic patient care
- A comprehensive knowledge of evidence based practice in Social Work
