This role will work closely with the Director: NOCG, and the leadership team to manage and contribute to the planning, reporting, projects, strategy, and development for the group. You will be part of the NOCG Leadership team which provides strategic direction to 240 staff and contributes to maintaining relationships with internal and external agencies and international partners. NOCG is mandated by central government to detect, investigate, confront, prosecute and disrupt the activities of serious and organised criminals, including those immersed in financial crime. This is achieved through collaboration and co-operation with law enforcement and other agencies situated both nationally and internationally. The Senior Advisor Business Strategy plays a significant role in providing strategic advice to the leadership team, co-ordinating the staffing and resourcing of the group, and reporting activities relating to performance and activities of the group. **Key Accountabilities**: - Looking after our people - Managing data, reporting and results - Coordinating OIA/WPQ processes - Delivering Our Business - Building and maintaining effective partnerships - Recognising and nurturing innovation - Managing systems, performance and information **He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring** Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others. - Experience in working in strategic business contexts and/or experience within a central government environment. - Proven experience in preparing strategic documents and reports for Ministers, Police Executive or external agencies. - Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships across a range of stakeholders. - Excellent written and oral communication skills including critical thinking **Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements** - Successful applicant must reside in Wellington. - Transfer costs are included for the right applicant.
