You can find more about this framework here; We are the national provider of choice for Behaviour Support and Autism across New Zealand for the Ministry of Health and are part of HealthCare New Zealand - one of Aotearoa's largest health sector employers, with locations throughout New Zealand. **About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga** As a Behaviour Support Specialist within this growing and talented team, your focus will include: **Case Management**:You will support a dedicated and varied caseload and will develop a plan to deliver Positive Behaviour Support interventions that can be used in the person's home environment. **Problem-Solving Skills**:You will be planning, managing and successfully implementing a wide range of solutions for a variety of behavioural needs **Collaboration with a capital "C"**:No one can do this role alone and so your ability to work closely with families and your peers to champion and enable success is key **Empowerment**:Within the role you will be committed to supporting and empowering people who experience disability or autism to live independently, safely and to contribute meaningfully within their communities. **Cultural Awareness**: You will recognise the importance of Te Ao Maori and the strength of working collaboratively with whanau within a culturally competent framework. **What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga** - A proven track record of working in the field of disability and/or working with children or adults on the Autism Spectrum. An affinity for working with adults is a plus - A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) where this is required, or evidence of the ability to be registered with a professional body - Strong communication skills that builds trust, motivates and inspires meaningful relationships. - A keen understanding and commitment to: The Code of Health and Disabilities Services Consumer Rights, The Treaty of Waitangi and bi-cultural practice - A solution-focussed and proactive approach.
