**The opportunity**:
My client is based in New Lynn and is a very established manufacturing business looking for a contractor who can step in while waiting for a permanent staff member to join. In this role, you will need to have sound ER knowledge.
**As an HR contractor, some of your key areas of responsibility will include**:
- NZ employment experience and knowledge of ER matters and NZ employment law around where HR is concerned.
- Exit interviews, disciplinary meetings, updating of contracts and records
- Building relationships and working collaboratively with the team to create unique HR solutions based on the needs and requirements of the region.
- Support Managers/PILs with disciplinary matters ensuring risk is minimised and that they are compliant with legislation and our own policies/procedures
- Documentation completed as required for staffing changes (variations, flexible work, parental leave etc)
- Support the People Manager with coordinating pre and post-Union negotiations
- Monitor the exit interview process, and collate feedback and provide relevant reporting on turnover %.
- Other duties as needed
- Sound ER Knowledge
- Experience with HR systems
- Computer Savy.
- Updated knowledge of recruitment strategies and employment legislation
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Multitasker, with good organisation skills and, have an eye for detail.
- Can pick up systems fast, and can work with a computer confidently
