This is a key role within our Mitre 10 Ponsonby store - it’s about ensuring product moves into our store with ease and is on our shelves, so it’s available for our customers to buy.

This is an exciting time to join our store - we are in growth mode and there’s change happening. Reporting to the Inventory Leader, you will have the opportunity to be involved and learn. There is lots of variety and a real opportunity to grow your career in inventory management within this new role.

The focus of this hands-on role is on:

- Ensuring the correct receipting of all goods received and appropriate storage, along with the transfer of goods into the retail space as swiftly as possible
- Ensuring stock is checked off and entered into our computerised inventory system in a quick and timely manner
- Managing the outbound dispatch of goods (store deliveries)
- Organising “click and collect” orders and couriers - ensuring accurately and efficiently dispatched
- Ensuring product is accurately tracked in-store and replenished as required, so that high merchandise standards can be maintained, enabling a seamless experience for our customers.
- Involved in stock takes and GAP management
- Chasing up claims and ensuring the necessary administration is completed accurately.
- Communicating with customers, teammates and suppliers to provide excellent customer service.

Ideally, we are after someone with:

- Some experience in inwards goods and/or warehousing practices.
- Someone who prides themselves on providing excellent customer service
- Comfort using computer and mobile devices - you will be able to pick up our systems quickly
- Ability to resolve claims in a confident manner.
- Good spatial awareness - able to maximise storage space.
- A safety-first ethos and prepared to follow all H&S requirements.

Attention to detail and being organised is essential. You will also need to be reasonably fit and strong, as much of the work involves lifting, moving on and off vehicles and standing for long periods.

This is a full time Monday to Friday role, however, as we are a retail business, some weekend work may be required, especially during peak periods.
