**About the Company**
This privately-owned building and civil construction company has built an extensive portfolio of completed projects from Transmission Gully to Ara Tūhono - Pūhoi to Warkworth. With offices located in Wellington & Auckland, they are ready to expand the business across a diverse range of sectors in the Wellington Region.
**The Role**
If you're looking to take the next big step in your career, we are looking for a Regional Manager with vast experience in Civil Construction to champion this growing business. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing day to day operation across Wellington and beyond, ensuring allocated contracts & projects meet all Zero Harm, financial, time, quality and contractual obligations.
You'll be reporting to the General Manager based in Australia and be responsible for all staff and operations across the greater Wellington region, along with setting the standard for business processes in line with the company’s project management and reporting requirement.
Some key duties will include:
- Deliver all projects to a high level of excellence and provide a successful service to our clients,
- Create, nurture and maintain strong client relationships,
- Ensure risk registers are developed, maintained and regularly updated as part of project reviews,
- Manage all documentation and detailed reports to a high standard to meet KPIs,
- Foster and ensure a Zero Harm environment for all employees and contractors through training, reviews, toolbox meetings and reporting,
- Actively investigate different sectors/areas for business development to diversify our capabilities,
- Assist with input into tenders and exposure into the pretender process.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent
**About you**
- You have over 10 years civil construction / engineering experience from a Tier 1 or tier 2 contractors,
- You have extensive local and regional knowledge to build relationships with clients and external stakeholders,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to demonstrate good time management and organisational skills,
- Attention to detail and decisive decision making, working effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
- You can show strong leadership and influencing skills
- You have a high level of financial and business acumen
