Our work is secret, but the reason for our success isn't. It's our people.
And we're just like you. We're ordinary people. But together, we're doing extraordinary things to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.
Provide expert advice to help New Zealand entities uplift their security maturity and protect people, information and assets.
**About the role**:
Day-to-day you'll provide expert advice to a range of New Zealand government and non-government entities, helping them to build their protective security capability and maturity, and increase their resilience to threats. This includes supporting entities to adopt and implement the best practice Protective Security Requirements (PSR) framework. You will also contribute to other work streams, including lifting awareness of the threat of foreign interference in New Zealand and building protective security capability in the region.
You will work as part of a collegiate and joined-up PSR Unit which communicates, coordinates and collaborates across our many functions (advisory, outreach, strategic analysis, research, policy and business coordination). Our aim is to work together seamlessly to deliver optimal outcomes for our customers and stakeholders.
This is Fixed-Term (24 months)
**What you'll bring**:
- Existing protective security expertise, or the ability to rapidly acquire it.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence thinking and behaviour, and gain buy-in from external stakeholders.
- An ability to understand customer needs, synthesise and analyse feedback, and contribute to PSR policy development.
- A strong customer service ethic and collaborative approach, with a track record of creating and sustaining collegial and effective working relationships.
- A good business improvement mind, which looks for opportunity to evolve how we work to deliver impact for our customers.
We are looking for a versatile team player with the drive, skill and commitment to achieve customer service excellence.
We offer our people comprehensive benefits, flexible working and great work-life balance. Join us and let us help you become Beyond Ordinary.
