**About the Role**

Our On Farm Assists travel to and from dairy farms throughout the region to provide our farmers with much-needed support on farm.

No two days will be the same - you will assist with a range of different on-farm activities such as herd test support during milking, DNA sampling, herd audits and weighing animals - just to name a few.

If you are someone who thrives in busy environments, cares about animal welfare, enjoys being in the rural environment, loves helping people and craves variety, then this role is for you

**About You**
- Have a positive 'can do' attitude, and learn quickly
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Have excellent time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Be physically fit and active
- Be self-motivated and professional
- Hold a current, full drivers' licence (essential)

The ideal person will be someone who has a hands-on approach, knowledge of, and empathy for the New Zealand dairy industry. An integral part of this role will be interacting with farmers and field-based staff to ensure LIC deliver a quality service.
