We are seeking a Senior Adviser to provide expert advice, assurance, and strategic support across four key portfolios: organisational risk, privacy and compliance, strategic partnerships, and embedding mātauranga Māori across the Strategy, Performance & Enterprise (SPE) group.
Reporting to the Executive Director SPE, you will help ensure Wintec meets legislative obligations, builds and sustains high-value partnerships, and operates with cultural integrity and strategic foresight. Your work will strengthen values-based leadership, enable resilient systems, and support inclusive, future-focused practices.
This is a pivotal role for someone who can think strategically, work collaboratively, and champion innovation within a diverse, dynamic environment.

**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role**:
This role provides expert advice, assurance, and strategic support across four critical portfolios: organisational risk, privacy and compliance, strategic partnerships, and embedding mātauranga Māori across the Strategy, Performance & Enterprise (SPE) group.
The appointing salary for this role will be $88.600, dependent on skills and experience.
The Senior Adviser, Strategy Performance and Enterprise is based in our Wintec| Te Pūkenga reporting to the Executive Director Strategy, Performance and Enterprise and will be responsible for:
- Risk and Assurance
- Privacy and Legislative Compliance
- Strategic Partnerships
- Embedding Mātauranga Māori across SPE
**He kōrero mōu| About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an advisory role.
- Knowledge of New Zealand privacy and risk legislation, and public sector standards.
- Demonstrated experience working in partnership with Māori and embedding mātauranga Māori.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, analysis, and reporting capability.
- Proven ability to work with sensitivity, discretion, and cultural competence
