Develop, implement and maintain the delivery of high-quality communications. Te tūranga - The roleThe Communications Adviser will be responsible for developing and implementing communication plans and activities to help Te Pūtea Matua achieve its objectives. The adviser will take the lead on supporting key business areas, with a particular focus on Governance, Strategy and Corporate Relations. Reporting to the Manager External Stakeholders, this role will primarily provide media monitoring support and coordinates responses to public, stakeholder and media inquiries.You will:

- Work closely with the External Stakeholder team in implementing The Reserve Bank's media and stakeholder communications plans and programmes.
- Work closely with business areas to draft news and media releases, creating engaging factsheets and other materials for media and stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and analysis of news and social media coverage relevant to Te Pūtea Matua.
- Support the management of responding to stakeholder queries, specifically coordinating and drafting responses on economic and financial matters for public inquiries.

Ō pūkenga - About you You will bring a creative flair with at least 1 years' worth of experience in communications public relations and/or journalism. You will have a strong ability to influence effectively across an organisation and understand the importance of building effective relationships with your stakeholders. You have an eye for detail and the determination to challenge current practices. You are passionate about building stories and narratives that are both engaging and informative. In addition to this you will have:

- A degree in communications, commerce or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
- Experience, interest or demonstrated understanding of machinery of government.
- A good understanding or a strong interest in economics and/or financial markets and/or regulated entities (banks, non-bank deposit takers and insurance companies).
- Creativity and enthusiasm for producing engaging and informative communications.
