**About the opportunity**:
Our Waikanae client is looking for a Surveyor to join their team of land development professionals They have been operating for 20+ years and are a trusted advisor in land development throughout the Wellington region. **Role description**:
You will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing legal descriptions of land boundaries and providing accurate data to support property transactions.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Conduct cadastral surveys and prepare relevant plans and reports (Landonline), including field work
- Utilise relevant survey equipment (GPS, total stations etc) to capture and process data
- Coordinates and manages client and project expectations in respect of land development projects
- Is an experienced project manager and understands the subdivision process
- Can coordinate other staff to complete land development related tasks
- Can prepare cost estimates for projects, manage client billing and communication

**This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities**:

- BSurv Bachelor of Surveying from Otago, and/or Licensed Cadastral Surveyor
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficient in the use of survey equipment and software (preferably 12d)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid New Zealand driver's license

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

- 10 hour shift
