Are you passionate about sport, fluent in Te Reo Māori, and confident behind a microphone? We’re looking for enthusiastic Te Reo Māori sports commentators to join our team for Secondary Schools’ Winter Tournament Week 2025. The games will be streamed live on YouTube, showcasing Aotearoa’s emerging talent.
**What we’re looking for**
- Fluent speakers of Te Reo Māori - You must be able to deliver a minimum of 30% of your commentary in Te Reo Māori during the broadcast.
- Strong knowledge of sport - You should have a solid understanding of at least one of the following:
- Netball
- Basketball
- Football (soccer)
- Confident communication skills and the ability to engage audiences.
- Reliable and professional, with the ability to work in a live broadcast environment.
- Based in Auckland, Taupō, Palmerston North or Dunedin (there may be an option to commentate remotely for the right person, if they are not based in these centres)
**What you’ll be doing**
- Providing engaging, high-quality commentary during live-streamed matches.
- Sharing insight, excitement, and Te Reo Māori throughout the broadcast.
- Supporting the visibility and use of Te Reo Māori in sport.
