With 750 Corporate users and a total of 1500/1600 staff across 60 offices nationally, this enterprise is next level. Steeped in history and known for innovation, they consistently push the boundaries in their given sector.Being a heavy industry player, they have a range of services and products dealing with consumers and commercial and government clients across NZ.
**The Role**
Based in East Tamaki, this is an exciting time to be joining the team as they move their systems, data marts and data warehousing to the Cloud.
Working in a team of 4-6 and reporting to the Enterprise Software Manager, you will be responsible for creating and supporting databases, data models, data transformations and provisioning reports.
As a Data Analyst, you will be delivering quality data for business analysis and will be working with data consumers to get insights from data as well as delivering to the business customers on their reporting needs. SSRS experience is seen as essential.
Key contributions include seeking out opportunities to improve business alignment and data quality whilst delivering at pace.
You will be heavily using SQL Server and need to have commercial experience with SSIS.
**The Skills required**
- Experience in data model design and provisioning data sets, data marts, and data flows
- Intermediate to advanced use of SSRS
- 3 years of hands-onexperience with relational, dimensional and analytics (Power BI ideally)
- Intermediate to advanced use of SQL (SSIS)
- Good understanding of using third-party APIs and tools (Postman, GitHub, ADF)
- Excellent attention to detail. Proven / methodical approach to problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse, diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
- Understanding of software development (SDLC) and project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Experience estimating solution development delivery times and measuring these and be able to identify risks and communicate these to the broader business.
- A tertiary qualification in Business/Information Technology or the equivalent experience
**Beneficial skills**
- Knowledge and skills in the Azure cloud platform with exposure ADF, Event Hub, DataBricks and Synapse are highly desirable.
- WhereScape Red or other Data warehouse ETL skills would be in your favour.
