In this leadership role, you will:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery department, including ordering, inventory management, production planning, and scheduling.
- Ensure that all bakery products are prepared to high-quality standards, following store recipes and procedures.
- Train, supervise and manage a team of bakery staff, ensuring they are fully trained on all aspects of bakery production, customer service, food safety and health and safety.
- Managing rosters to achieve the highest level of productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor bakery sales and adjust production levels to ensure that the department meets or exceeds sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including product promotions, merchandising, and cost controls.
- Ensure that the bakery department is fully compliant with all food safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery department, including all equipment and storage areas.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- At least 3 years of experience managing a bakery or similar food production environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, ordering, and production planning.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure consistent product quality.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is a permanent full-time role working early morning shifts, Sundays to Thursdays.
