The National Public Health Service within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
As the **Manager - Advisory Support** you will Manage the team that responds to all machinery of government work commissioned to NPHS by the Government Services Group and ensure all machinery of government work produced by NPHS is accurate, high quality, on time without exception, and well-presented. This **permanent, full-time** role will see you collaborate closely with colleagues across the NPHS to commission, plan, develop and deliver high-quality machinery of government products that meet our customers requirements.
**Mōu | About you**
You are someone with previous experience managing a team producing responses to OIA requests, Select Committee questions, Ministerial correspondence, and advice to Ministers. You have the proven ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences including clinical, government, executive/senior managers and the public.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification at degree level or relevant equivalent work experience
- Excellent track record of working on the production and management of all machinery of government products
- Proven experience managing a team in a complex environment with diverse stakeholders, including solid experience in coaching, mentoring and managing people
- Desirable to have experience in the Health sector
- Able to think, plan and contribute strategically and to connect with people to build an engaged and productive workforce
- Demonstrated inclusive leadership and management skills able to maximise the quality and contributions of individuals and teams to drive outcomes
