Senior Application Specialist

Our Continuous Computing Practice provides specialist platform, infrastructure, network, cloud and software services to our customers. Our Support team play an important, and highly valued role in our success by providing exceptional IT Support services to Theta's customers and staff alike.
In this role, excellent customer service is a must You will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have experience providing Level 3 Application support, dealing directly with customers, and working in a multi-vendor environment.

**Key technical skills and experience including components of**:

- Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL, Oracle and other databases including the respective procedural languages (T-SQL, PGSQL, PL/SQL)
- Experience with system integration, data analytics, web services
- Data warehousing and ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, WhereScape RED)
- Strong scripting skills
- Cloud experience (Azure or AWS) desirable
- A solid understanding of SDLC concepts and processes
- Exposure to ITIL best practices

**Nice to have**:

- Java code debugging and development
- Exposure to reporting tools such as MS Reporting Services or Power BI
