Join our Data Platforms team at Kiwibank, where we're responsible for the stewardship of our On-Prem Data Warehousing environment. We're on a mission to deliver excellent experiences for both our staff and customers, and we're looking for an Application Specialist (Tech BA) to help us do just that.

As an Application Specialist, you'll own the technical aspects of platforms hosting current and future environments. You'll be operationally responsible for supporting existing systems and leading new technology deployments. This role blends technical expertise with business analysis, making it ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting mission-critical systems and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Ability to think strategically and at a detailed level to cope with business and technology complexity
  • Proven experience with SQL and data platforms
  • Solid business analysis and product development lifecycle experience
  • Strong stakeholder management across all levels of the organisation
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Ability to own relationships and manage vendors aligned with strategic and operational goals
Bonus:
  • Experience with application and system integration
  • Ability to prepare technical recommendation papers
  • Experience supporting third-party and in-house developed systems
  • Strong documentation and adherence to technology standards
