**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**
We are currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused Facilities Operations Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for Christchurch residents.
As part of a team of four facilities operations officers, you'll play a key role in delivering a professional and responsive customer experience focusing mainly on libraries and community hubs.
**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**
You'll use your strong communication and organizational skills to manage a wide variety of requests and challenges. While a solid understanding of facilities management, building maintenance, and property-related matters will set you up for success, we are also keen to hear from individuals who have experience working in these places and spaces and are interested in moving into an operational role.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Planning and managing reactive, scheduled, and planned maintenance.
- Monitoring and assessing operational activities, implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinating building maintenance to minimize service disruption.
- Auditing service providers to ensure compliance with service standards.
- Conducting regular building checks and health & safety assessments.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
