The role provides support for the Chapter Lead - Architecture in providing strategic technology consultancy and strategic leadership for the Principal Enterprise Architects and CTO, in partnership with the Digital Domain Lead roles, and with Product Leads, Business leaders and their representatives.

This role is integral to deliver enterprise-level architectures and enable solutions that drive the reduction in risks, costs and complexity while enabling quality customer outcomes. You will be contributing to the enhancement of the Architecture maturity, Strategic Consulting, Digital Innovation, Blueprints, and additionally contribute to our Architecture Landscape, Digital Road-maps and Design Authority.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Solid experience in the developing road-maps, reference architectures and design concepts.
- Solid experience in infrastructure, cloud and networking services.
- An established track record of quality outcome delivery in the areas of infrastructure, cloud, networks, operations and continuous improvements.
- A growth mindset in everything you do.
- Experience in contributing to the maturity of Architecture practices.
- Significant experience in the collaborative development of Enterprise Architecture strategies, reference architectures, road-maps, blueprints, and actionable plans.
- Experience working in complex delivery and architecture environment and delivering outcomes.
- Experience in leading, influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders.
- Solid Experience in Architecture modelling tools and frameworks E.g. TOGAF, Archimate.
- Proven experience in the integration of solutions into an existing environment that includes 'as a service', COTS, and custom developed apps and services.
- Strong analytical thinking skills
- Experience collaborating with other internal and external business groups
- Great communication skills with experience in simplifying complex technical issues into simple business language.
- Experience in engaging and communicating with Business and Technology managers and leaders.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
