Auditors - Senior - Dunedin

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Auditor to join their dynamic team in Dunedin. As a member of one of the world's leading professional services firms, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and make a significant impact on their businesses.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct audits of financial statements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting, in accordance with auditing standards and methodologies.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead audit teams and provide guidance to junior auditors, fostering their professional development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, gaining an in-depth understanding of their business processes and objectives.
- Identify potential risks and recommend effective solutions to mitigate them, promoting best practices.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports, highlighting findings and recommendations for management.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing and accounting standards, ensuring compliance and providing insights on emerging trends and practices.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent are preferred but not required
- Must be in New Zealand or have the right to work in New Zealand due to border restrictions
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in external auditing, preferably in a professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial accounting principles, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
