The opportunity:
At AIA, we're big users of Salesforce and you'll get to make the most of Omnistudio, Lightning, Communities and Marketing Clould to create digital experiences for customers, advisers and staff. As an Associate Salesforce Developer, you'll configure, develop, deploy and support technical solutions to ensure the highest quality engineering and customer outcomes.

This role, as part of technical Community, will follow the best practice standards and, where appropriate, further improve those standards, ensure there is clarity on expectations and assist other team members.

About the role:
Using a range of agreed technologies, you will be assisting on project(s), Small Work Requests and/or BAU activities, covering systems and platforms in your domain.

Technical Business Analysis- Develop understanding of business requirements through liaison with key business user groups / stakeholders.- Provide assistance to the estimation process to include the identification of required resource types and effort - covering development aspects of the delivery lifecycle.

Technical Design- Upskill and develop a detailed technical knowledge of the designs, implementation and infrastructure related to your assigned systems.- Assist in maintaining technical designs that adhere to all applicable standards and have taken into considerations associated data, system integration, security, scalability, supportability and complexity.- Assist testers and other team members with the interpretation of the Technical Design.

Application Development- Where required assist in the design, configuration, coding, unit testing, build and deploy of software components.- Ensure all code, defects and releases are managed using the agreed tools and processes.

Technical Support- Contribute to a proactive programme of work to ensure your systems remain robust, reliable and supportable.- Contribute to the timely resolution to any incidents impacted your systems within the agreed Service Level Agreements.- Ensure a root cause analysis is undertaken for any incidents and any underlying issues are captured in a problem record.

Quality Assurance- Ensure that the technical quality of each deliverable is acceptable and aligned with best practice and agreed standards.- Assist with risk and impact assessments on all deliverables.- Continually manage the expectations of the business and project stakeholders as technical solution and deliverables evolves as required.

Working With Development Team- Work collaboratively with the AIA Development Teams (local and offshore) and vendors to deliver required software solutions.- Contribute to the on-going retention of technical knowledge and skills to ensure the ongoing supportability of systems.

Methodology - Agile (Scrum) & Waterfall regardless of the domain.- Other mandatory technical skills that depend on the domain the role and assigned systems will be provided separately.- Managing your workload to ensure delivery objectives are met.

Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet reasonable operational and/or other requirements

Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Obtained or working towards Bachelor, Technical Degree or Tertiary qualifications in Technology or related discipline.- Salesforce System Admin and App builder certifications- Developing knowledge of and experience in Salesforce and other relevant software languages.- Commercial experience working within software development projects in Insurance or Financial industry is an advantage
