We have opportunities available for Roading Maintenance Operators to join the Higgins in Christchurch. Being part of the maintenance division involves hands-on labouring duties as well as Class 2 driving, the team work together on all tasks to get the job done.

You will undertake routine roadway maintenance activities and minor roading repairs. These works include kerb & channel, footpath, boundary to boundary carriageway maintenance, as well as emergency repairs.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Minimum Class 2 Licence ideally with WTR
- Roading and Infrastructure experience (concrete and hand laying of Asphalt, would be advantageous)
- Strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your colleagues but also the public
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
- A reasonable level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
- Be a reliable, honest and flexible team-player
- These are permanent full-time positions with a rotating on-call duty roster. You need to be able to work the occasional night shift.
