**Monday Volunteer Kai Support Role**

Home & Family are long established child-focused Charitable Trust, providing a number of services to whanau in Canterbury. We operate as a small foodbank in order to assist clients who are seeking help with providing food for their whanau.

This volunteer role takes responsibility for collecting the food from a Central City location, bringing it back to our Store, unpacking and making up a number of food parcels for staff to take to whānau who they are working with. Having a volunteer to do this role, frees up our team's time to better support our clients.

Personal Capabilities

1. Team player.

2. Understand the needs of whānau and food storage requirements.
- Some lifting and carrying is required (not excessive).

4. Demonstrate a calm and respectful manner.

5. Ability to manage time independently.

Position requirements:
1. Commit to the role - every Monday morning for 3 hours a week for a period of 8/12 weeks.

2. Attend training provided by Home & Family.

3. Knowledge and understanding of tikanga Māori.

4. Current full driver’s licence is required.
- A Ministry of Justice criminal conviction check with clear result is required (this is done for you).
