**The Role**
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic guidance, governance, and leadership in environment, health & safety practices. Working collaboratively with operational leaders to implement and drive health, safety and environmental initiatives and performance through the development of EHS leadership capability.
There will be an expectation to achieve business sustainability through development, implementation and maintenance of risk management capability and business systems.
The core functional responsibilities of the role, the incumbent is expected to make a meaningful and significant contribution to the leadership within Firth Masonry & Dricon.
**About you**
- Actively fosters a health, safety & environmental focused culture where employees play an active role in Health, Safety & Environmental of the organization.
- Passionate about being able to coordinate, implement, and administer HSE initiatives to ensure the workplace maintains the highest professional HSE standards and complies with all relevant legislation and ACC AEP programme.
- Being the leads in all risk assessments, site compliance audits, risk solutioning, operational procedures within their portfolio
- Strong working knowledge of the New Zealand legislative environment including HSE, ACC, Environmental compliance and industry guidelines and standards.
**What we are looking for**:
- Passionate about Health and Safety
- Committed in achieving and sustaining a world class safety culture
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication written and verbal
- Keeping accurate records of all works undertaken
- Tertiary qualification - preferably Health and Safety related
- Previous experience (5+ years) in an EHS Senior Advisor or Manager role.
