We have an opportunity to join our high performing team of strategic finance professionals as a Principal Advisor. You will enjoy lots of variety working on a range of different initiatives and with many people across the Ministry of Justice, as well as other Justice sector and central agencies.

**We are looking for a confident person to**:

- Play a key role in developing new Justice initiatives to deliver on our strategic priorities
- Help drive the Ministry's external Budget and other contestable funding processes
- Contribute to development of sustainable financial management strategy
- Develop a long-term financial forecasting model for the Ministry
- Provide expertise in methods of analysis to produce robust advice
- Anticipate and plan for Minister's requirements

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Strong analytical, strategic, organisational planning, and communication skills
- Proficient working knowledge of government financial management legislation, policies and practices
- Able to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations
- Experience in a similar role and environment would be advantageous but is not required
- Full CA (or equivalent) desirable
- Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $120,397 and $157,225 based on skills and experience.
