What we are looking for:
Your ability to strengthen the relationships with estimators from our customer's teams will allow us to bid and secure even more of their work.
Our projects range from $100k - $1.5 million, more often than not with high end boutique industrial finishes with automation, lighting, demolition, power distribution all required to be evaluated, cost and written up under very tight deadlines.
Your product and industry experience, technical know-how, diligence and fantastic communication skills will ensure you get this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Strong understanding of the scope of work to bid
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Prepare cost analysis
- Review and evaluate equipment, material, sub contractor and other supplier cost estimates
- Communicate with trade partners, team members and management regarding estimates
- Manage bid pricing from all vendors
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, customers and team members alike
- "Shop around" for the best rates and pricing for materials and equipment

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong safety knowledge and understanding of how project deliverable activities are completed on site
- Strong Business acumen, with the ability to think outside of the square
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Capacity of working autonomously and within a team
- Ability to work in an agile way, enabling to complete multiple taks within a day
- Experience with prioritising and meeting deadlines within short notice.
- Knowledge and practical experience of commercial electrical projects is essential
- Design and Construct experience would be a distinct advantage
- Our job costing system is simPRO. It’s the magement software we use to manage our service, projects and maintenance work, without the paperwork including estimating tools. simPRO knowledge would be A plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Your Background and Experience

Ideally, you have experience in commercial electrical projects obtained in a previous project manager or estimator role.
- Relevant industry qualifications and licences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Great attitude toward work and a strong drive to grow within your career
- Highly committed and reliable
- Strong professional reference

Work Environment

It’s a full time position and you will be expected to work from our office based in Manukau.
You will have some flexibility in hours within the business operating hours as long as you are committed fully to your work and meeting deadlines.
