**H2R Consulting **are currently assisting a **Porirua (Tawa)** based organisation locate a talented** Senior Payroll Specialist**. This permanent role will be based in the head office location, adding to their already high performing and fun Payroll and HR Operations team.
The Senior Payroll Specialist role is highly operational and with our technical set up requires a different way of working from traditional payroll. The role will be responsible for processing reviewing payroll transactions, calculations, peer review checking and some payroll reporting. They will have a solid understanding of payroll fundamentals and practice how it relates and are part of a small but effective team.
- At least 5 years experience in payroll in an organisation of similar size and complexity.
- Knowledge and ability to use Datapay, and knowledge Workday or other HRIS
- Experience support testing and system change.
- Solid understanding of employment law relating to payroll processing, particularly the Holidays Act, Parental Leave Employment Protection Act, and Wages Protection Act
- Intermediate user of Excel and other Microsoft and reporting tools.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
**Other details**:
**Pay: $75,000 - $82,000 base plus KS**
**Benefits: Free parking (carpark)**
**WFH: 3 days per week at home. Must be in office for 2**
